Education & Experience
Architecture + Project Management (Design + Development + Construction) = Archipreneur

2010-2011    Atlanta, Georgia, USA & Paris, France
I did a study abroad in Paris, France in my senior year of studying Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology and won the urban refuge design competition where we built our winning installation.

2011    Atlanta, Georgia, USA
After graduating, I worked for a design-build firm in Atlanta, called Archimetric Design & Build learning how to bid for projects and setting up a team to execute a design.

2012-2014    Columbus, Ohio, USA & Kuwait City, Kuwait
Then I moved to work with NBBJ in Columbus, Ohio where I worked on projects in the US, China, Russia and Kuwait. My work spanned architecture, interior design and landscape from concept to construction documents. And then I moved to Kuwait as the key liaison between the design team and our Kuwait-based contractor. And I worked on one of the largest cancer centers in the world.

2014-2016    Bahrain & Saudi Arabia
Then I was back to Bahrain working with SSH managing projects in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, including delivering the design package of one of the most technologically advanced office buildings in the Middle East. And I did lots of bidding. I was also on site administering a contract, and I did all the above at the same time.

2016–today    Bahrain & the World
After having designed and worked with contractors at different capacities, I decided to move to become a developer-contractor with Hassan Lari Group! I work on everything from feasibility studies to managing on-site construction and express my design passion by doing different levels of design and construction in-house. Primarily I work on projects in Bahrain, but with frequent travel abroad on a growing project portfolio abroad.

As the AIA (American Institute of Architects) Middle East chapter Bahrain representative, I orchestrated the most successful AIA Middle East Conference & Design Awards, measured by attendance and attendee feedback, with the title of “BahrAIAn: Transitioning Cities” joined by architects from Tokyo to California.

Le monde est à nous.

My passion for architecture stems from a greater desire for a better life, a better world, and thus better built form based upon theories grounded in human thought – philosophy & human action – politics.
